Pieper was named the MVP of the tournament and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by teammate Generale, Gibraltar’s Yome, Roger Riera from hosts Andorra and Igor Biordi from San Marino. The team of Gibraltar was given the Fair Play Award.
Gibraltar, who also lost in the 2009 Division C final, led the final 5-2 and 9-7 in the first quarter before Monaco closed on a 7-0 run for a 14-9 lead after 10 minutes.
Monaco, whose previous best showing was fourth place last summer, allowed just three points in the second quarter and started to run away with a 31-12 advantage at the break.
The lead continually grew and was up to 30 points at 50-20 in the third quarter and as many as 32 points in the fourth.
